Tamilanda Pretty in Pink J.W.

Tamilanda Hot Pink

At the North of England Dalmatian Club Annual Championship Show, held on 17th July, the judge for bitch's was breed specialist Mr Lindsay Cutts of Marzelina Dalmatians. He had a large entry to deal with so we were very happy to be in the challenge with Pretty in Pink, and her sister Hot Pink, they had won 2 of the strongest classes of the day. I cant find enough adjectives to describe how happy we were that Abby, Tamilanda Prety in Pink, topped the bitch competition by winning her 2nd CC,and eventually she became Best Opposite Sex in Show. To add to her growing list of wins, Honey, Tamilanda Hot Pink then became Best Liver Bitch in Show. What a day, the competition was very stiff, so we whole heartedly thank the judge for making it such a day for us, one that we will never forget. Pics to follow soon.

Critiques

Post-Graduate Bitch 15(1)

1. Whincup's Tamilanda Hot Pink. A really sparkling l/w with very good spotting in colour and distribution. Good, overall balance with particularly notable lay of shoulder and curve of stifle. Inevitably, therefore, she moved with reach and drive. Best liver bitch.

Limit Bitch 24(4)

This was certainly my best class of the day, with bitches which I have liked before going cardless.
1. Smith's Tamilanda Pretty in Pink. Litter sister to my PG winner but one which was a stranger to me. Liked her as she entered the ring and, today, she had everything I wanted in a mature bitch. Totally balanced, outstanding b/w spotting in colour and distribution. Excellent construction, particularly in her lay of shoulder. Level topline. Moved with real purpose both ways. CCand BOS.

Tamilanda Lily the Pink. J.W. Sh.C.M.

We have just received confirmation that our Lily has gained the prestigious title of Show Champion of Merit. This is used after her other letters in her name, in conjunction with the Junior Warrant title. We are very proud of her achievements. Good girl Lily.

On the 13th March 2010, Team Tamilanda all met up at the NEC in Birmingham for the annual event of Crufts Dog Show. The judge for this year was Mrs.Margaret Mulholland of Mariscat Dalmatians who was turned out beautifully in a black trouser suit. With an entry of around 200,competition was going to be stiff, but all 4 of the team did exceptionally well, 3 of them being placed in the top 3 in their respective breed class. Our own Honey, Tamilanda Hot Pink stole the show, by winning her class, and then going on to win the Reserve Bitch CC. We are elated to have won this coveted award at the biggest show in the UK ,and our sincere thanks goes to the judge for making it the most unforgettable day we have ever had at a dog show.

Honey at Crufts winning Reserve Bitch CC.

1.TAMILANDA HOT PINK (MR K & MRS D L WHINCUP) Easy winner here, so much breed type and so full of quality and elegance. Correctly proportioned feminine head, loved her length of skull and muzzle, arched neck into the best of shoulders, round bone and cat feet with god arch, deep and well ribbed back, strong loin and level topline, well muscled and angulated real good tail placement, never stopped wagging. Clear liver markings of the correct colour. This bitch has come a long way, and her owner is to be congratulated, she is a happy and well adjusted girl, very sound, classy and eye-catching. Her free flowing movement was a joy to watch. Expertly handled. Was very pleased to award her the Res CC later- Mrs. M Mulholland

She then followed it up one week later by going Reserve Best Bitch in Show, under judge Mr.Paul Hipkiss of Dalkiss Dalmatians, at the North of England Dalmatian Club open show, read what the judge has to say,

1st : Whincup's ~ Tamilanda Hot Pink What a delight she is, presenting a balanced outline standing, with lovely head and expression, nicely proportioned neck flowing over well defined withers to a level topline. Good spring and depth of rib. Shown to perfection, this quality bitch came within a whisker of top honours. Another that I shall watch with anticipation. Reserve Best Bitch. Mr.P. Hipkiss

Dalmatian Club of Scotland

It has become somewhat of an annual pilgrimage in October to travel to Glasgow for the Dalmatian Club of Scotland open show, it is very laid back and very friendly, and the catering is always first class, we have enjoyed many an outing there. The judge for this year was the well known Mr Mark Dunnachie of Dvojica dalmatians. Lilly was in the largest class of the day,so we were very happy when she won 1st place, and eventually she later became best bitch, to which we were just thrilled, in the challenge for Best in Show we daren't hope for too much, but Lilly excelled herself to take the top honour of Best in Show, Kevin and i were just so happy, and so proud of our first home bred little girl.

Judges Critique

JB – 1st Whincups Tamilanda Lilly the Pink J.W. – Lovely 17 month black , spotting very evenly distributed, pretty head ,good reach of neck, good topline and tailset, moved very well and showed like an old timer. In excellent coat, a credit to her owner/handler. Best in Show.

Team Tamilanda had another victory that day too, Abbi won the limit bitch class, giving her the last vital point she so needed for her junior warrant, time was running out as they are all nearly out of junior classes now,so we were more than happy when she joined Lilly and her brother Charlie, to make it a hat trick of junior warrant winners, and all from our very first litter. We really couldn't be more proud.

Abbi winning her junior warrant!

Belfast Championship Show

The judge for the day was Miss Jean Lanning and here our Charlie, Tamilanda Pink Vigilante at Alphadal won the Post Graduate class. This gives him his junior warrant, congratulations to Colin and Paula, his owners who have been model owners and have put so much into showing him so well.

Darlington Championship Show

Abbi, Tamilanda Pretty in Pink had a wonderful day here winning the junior bitch class. In the search for junior warrant points Jo,her owner, had entered her in the Post Graduate class too,she won that also, and was delighted to gain 6 more points towards the total of 25 which is needed to complete the title of Junior Warrant winner.HOWEVER,what happened next was truly magical,as she proceeded to win the Bitch Challenge Certificate, which makes her one third of the way to becoming a champion. At only 16 months old this was very special,as it rarely happens for one so young, next to our total delight she proceeded to win Best of Breed, sending her forward to the group competition, where she showed admirably. This is the first CC for a Tamilanda, and more incredibly this is from my first litter.

Many thanks for all the good wishes from friends and fellow exhibitors, and well done Jo for showing her to her full potential and most of all to the judge,Mr.Peter Swinburn.A very special day for team Tamilanda.

A delighted Jo and our Abbi, Tamilanda Pretty in Pink.

Bournemouth Champ Show

On 8th of August we attended Bornemouth Champonship Show under breed specialist Mrs.Valentine Black of Boval Dalmatians, where Lilly won the junior bitch class. It was a very hot day with beautiful sunshine, and the bitch's were really feeling the heat, but Lilly showed her socks off and never let me down, eventually taking the reserve bitch cc, which brings her tally to two.

Whincup,s Tamilanda Lilly the Pink JW, lovely b/w who, although lightly spotted did not detract from her quality. Very feminine head well shaped moderate contours, excellent eye colour, body was well toned , fit & with balance. It was obvious the care & enjoyment this owner gave to her charge with the bitch responding so well both on the move & standing that she stood out to win the RCC

Thank you to the judge concerned for this wonderful accolade.

On the 26th of June , Team Tamilanda met up at Blackpool champ show to be judged by a foreign lady, Mrs W De Vries Hoogland who had travelled from the Netherlands to judge our lovely breed. She had a good entry of just over 100 dogs, the weather was very warm and the atmosphere very jolly. We were totally thrilled for Joanne, who owns and shows Tamilanda Pretty in Pink, who won not only the junior class , but headed the graduate class too. The Bitch Challenge was a very tough one, with top honours going to the awesome Voodoo, but our Jo fought very hard, and came a very close second, beating off some very stiff competition to take the RESERVE CC !!!!! Her first !!!! At just 13 months old,and in very good company,we could not be more proud, our second reserve cc in just under a month, from 2 litter sisters and all from our very first litter. Well done Team Tamilanda.

Stakes Critique from LKA

2nd Whincup,s Tamilanda Lilly the Pink. Dalmatian, very exuberant young lady who has so much to like about her, up on her toes and really showed her socks off, feminine head so well proportioned, medium eye, strong jaw with perfect bite, fairly long neck with arch, shoulders moderatley oblique, elbows close to body, level back, well sprung ribs, round compact feet, correct tailset and carriage, super mover with great reach and drive

------------------------------------------------------

I recently had the privilege of judging the bitch classes at the British Dalmatian Club Winter Open Show, held in Coventry,it was a lovely entry of 91 making 112 in total.I would like to thank the committee for making me feel most welcome, and a special note of thanks to my two very adept stewards,Malcolm and Brenda Smith.

Here are the picture of my main winners of the day!

Mrs J Christie. Sophtspot Snap Crackle N Pop JW. When this bitch entered the ring the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, what an amazing ring presence this sensational girl has. This 17-½ month old Black and white bitch excelled in head and expression, very feminine. Her eyes were like pools of oil, you could loose yourself in. Long length of neck went on forever, flowing into well-laid shoulders. Amazing front construction, which enabled her to have such an exceptional reach once on the move, Straight front with strong round bone sat on the tiniest of feet. Tight elbows, great depth of chest. Level topline, which carried through to a perfect tail set and carriage. Good turn of stifle, with a well-developed second thigh. Hocks well let down. What a pleasure to go over a bitch in such tiptop condition. You get to appreciate the quality of this girl as she starts to move around the ring, so balanced making every stride look effortless, she has great reach and drive, covering the ground so freely, with minimum effort. I could have watched her all day. No shadow of a drought she was my winner. Best Bitch, Best Black and Best in Show

Miss S Baker Dalleaf Japonica JW. Liver and white fabulous bitch, I had the pleasure of judging her as a youngster, loved her then and she did not disappoint, she has only got better. Jewels of precious amber for eyes, full of sparkling intelligence, ears well set and carried. Long nicely arched neck flowing into well laid shoulders, Lovely straight front, good spring of rib, exceptional level towline and tail set, her tail was straight off her back. Strong powerful rear with an outstanding second thigh, and the icing on the cake was that she was hand painted, regarding her markings. But the electricity starts the moment this girl starts to move, she is simply quite outstanding, her reach and drive gives her the ability to cover so much ground with out any effort at all, so rhymical, tracking up when she moves away from you. Reserve Best Bitch, Best Liver Bitch and Best Liver in Show

Mrs D Cheetham  Koroyza Cute as Candy, this six month old black and white sparkling sassy girl, full of personality .Jet black eyes giving her the kind expression required. Ears broken and carried correctly. Long neck flowing into well-laid shoulders, well-angulated front, and straight front legs sat on tight cat feet. Her topline was to die for with her tail extending straight off her back. Good turn of stifle and as she moved she powered around the ring, flexing her hocks, well muscled for one so young. Handled so well by one so young, they will become a force to be reckoned with as they grow in confidence together. Best Puppy Bitch, and Best Opposite Sex Puppy in Show

Mr & Mrs & Miss C Pages Ch Winter Magic JW, and just like her name she was simply magic. A bitch I have admired for a long time, and I was not disappointed. This black and white bitch had an out standing head, totally balanced with eyes like pools of jet black oil reflecting the moon light, ears used to full advantage Nicely arched neck of good length flowing into well laid shoulders. Great depth of chest, tight elbows, lovely straight front. Tight cat feet, excels in topline with her tail beining a natural extension carried correctly and never stopped wagging. Great bend of stifle with a well-muscled second thigh, straight hocks. So powerful on the move, hard to believe she was a veteran. Loved her Best Veteran Bitch.
